2023 olive harvest: here is the new oil!

We call it novello, a term actually reserved for wine, but we should define it as fresh, an adjective that best suits Nocellara del Belice extra virgin olive oil in the first months after pressing.
The Nocellara del Belice Extra Virgin Oil has an intense golden green color and golden yellow reflections, the taste is full, slightly spicy and fruity with a light almond aftertaste, the inebriating smell of freshly crushed olives reminiscent also hints of grass and nature. Nocellara Oil is characterized by first-rate quality characteristics: maximum acidity of 0.60%, medium density, low fat which brings its smoke point to over 200 degrees. Its natural acidity and very low fat content make it an ideal product for a correct diet, widely used in the Mediterranean diet and used for condiments, fried foods and recipes of the most varied nature.
These properties make Nocellara del Belice oil a superior category Extra Virgin Olive Oil (olive oil is obtained from the direct pressing of the olives and solely through mechanical processes), and listen, listen, it is also a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory , its high concentration of Polyphenols allows it to counteract free radicals (responsible for aging), there are even those who use it as an emollient for the skin and hair. Furthermore, we would like to underline that the Sicilian Extra Virgin Olive Oil of Nocellara has already received two very important denominations for several years, it is in fact a Sicilian DOP oil ("Protected Designation of Origin") and as a Sicilian IGP oil ("Typical Geographical Indication" ), and is produced exclusively in the Belice Valley.
